Lead Engineer, IT - Software Engineering & Development (SAP S/4HANA Financials)

Location: Remote; travel up to 40% during the business transformation, decreasing to approximately 20% afterward.

Salary: $125,000–$145,000 annually, plus eligibility for an annual bonus.

What you will do

• Lead the SAP Financials Record to Report workstream, including COPA, across end-to-end SAP S/4HANA projects.
• Own delivery plans, priorities, milestones, dependencies, risks, issues, and decisions.
• Design, configure, implement, test, and control SAP Financials solutions and complex design changes.
• Lead solution design reviews and approve specifications, configuration, testing, defect resolution, cutover, and support-readiness deliverables.
• Coordinate Finance, IT, process teams, business stakeholders, vendors, contractors, and implementation partners.
• Provide functional leadership, coaching, mentoring, knowledge transfer, and guidance on SAP usage and best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5–7 years of experience overseeing SAP Financials configuration, including FI and CO.
• Multiple full-life-cycle SAP implementations using ECC 6.0 or S/4HANA.
• Strong experience designing, configuring, and supporting RTR areas in SAP, including product costing, COPA, and fixed assets.
• Product costing experience covering master data setup, costing variants and runs, templates and overheads, variance calculations, WIP, settlements, actual and alternate valuation, and PUP calculation.
• COPA experience covering operating concern, COPA structure, mapping, derivation rules, valuation strategy, product-costing integration, and COPA assessments.
• Fixed Assets experience covering organizational structure, charts of depreciation, depreciation keys, and asset transactions.
• Knowledge of integration with other SAP modules, including MM and SD.
• Ability to analyze business processes, translate requirements into SAP solutions and functional designs, write functional analyses, and develop and execute functional integration test scripts.
• Ability to apply agile engineering, design thinking, process redesign, and user-centered solution principles.
