Business Intelligence & Data Analyst

What you will do

• Plan and execute migration of legacy data sources and databases to cloud environments, ensuring accuracy, completeness, minimal disruption, reconciliation, validation, and documented data lineage.
• Organize and manage large datasets in Databricks, including tables, schemas, workspaces, and notebooks, and connect upstream and downstream databases, applications, and BI tools.
• Build and optimize SQL and Python queries, notebooks, workflows, and data pipelines in partnership with Data Engineering teams.
• Clean, transform, standardize, and organize complex datasets while maintaining data quality checks, naming conventions, and documentation.
• Create and maintain Power BI and Excel dashboards, recurring reports, KPIs, metrics, and visualizations for operational decision-making.
• Gather requirements, prioritize requests, manage stakeholder expectations, and act as a liaison between Product, Engineering, and business stakeholders.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or a similar role.
• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Business, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Advanced SQL proficiency, including complex joins, CTEs, window functions, and query optimization.
• Strong Power BI experience, including DAX, data modeling, row-level security, and report and dashboard maintenance.
• Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, Power Query, complex formulas, and data modeling.
• Working Python proficiency for data manipulation, automation, and analysis, including pandas and NumPy.
• Advanced hands-on Databricks experience, including hosting datasets, building notebooks, and connecting external data sources and BI tools.
• Experience integrating multiple databases and large datasets with Databricks, migrating legacy data to cloud environments, and cleaning, transforming, standardizing, and organizing complex datasets.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to translate business requirements, understand and develop queries, maintain recurring BI reports, and liaise with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience with hospitality, hotel operations, guest experience, housekeeping, staffing, or similar operational datasets.
• Experience with Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, or Databricks SQL.
• Familiarity with Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Exposure to ETL/ELT and orchestration tools such as Azure Data Factory, Airflow, or dbt.
• Understanding of star schemas, dimensional modeling, and data governance concepts.
• Experience in an Agile product development environment.
• Databricks Certified Data Analyst Associate, Databricks Certified Data Engineer Associate, Microsoft PL-300, or similar certification.
