AVP, Customer Success (US Public Sector)

Location: McLean, Virginia, USA. Hybrid work model based at the McLean headquarters, with expected office attendance 4–5 days per week and in-person customer work as the main priority.

Base salary: $200,000–$375,000 USD per year. The position may also include a government clearance differential and discretionary bonus.

What you will do

• Architect and operationalize the PMO governance framework, delivery standards, operating rhythms, and portfolio management practices across the US Public Sector portfolio.
• Manage financial performance, forecasting, utilization, margins, and resource allocation across complex delivery portfolios.
• Partner with Customer Success, Sales, Product, and executive stakeholders to align delivery capacity with pipeline growth and manage customer-lifecycle handoffs.
• Implement risk and issue management protocols, early-warning systems, and resolution frameworks that protect outcomes and support compliance with US public sector contracting requirements.
• Deliver portfolio reporting, executive dashboards, and business intelligence on capacity planning, customer health, and expansion opportunities.
• Champion Agile delivery and continuous improvement, coach delivery teams, and embed quality standards for government modernization programs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business Administration, Information Systems, Engineering, Public Administration, or a related field.
• 15+ years of progressive experience in program management, delivery leadership, or consulting within enterprise software or government contracting environments.
• Proven experience establishing and scaling Program Management Offices with delivery governance frameworks, operating rhythms, and portfolio management practices.
• Deep knowledge of US public sector contracting, compliance requirements, and procurement processes across federal, state, or local government agencies.
• Expertise in forecasting, utilization optimization, margin management, and resource allocation across complex delivery portfolios.
• Strong command of Agile delivery methodologies in enterprise software implementation and government modernization programs.
• Exceptional stakeholder management and executive communication skills across customer organizations and internal leadership teams.
• Expert-level capability in risk identification, issue resolution, and governance protocols for mission-critical environments.

Nice to have

• Experience delivering enterprise software solutions such as ERP, CRM, BPM, workflow automation, data integration, or enterprise application integration platforms.
• Direct delivery experience in defense, intelligence, civilian agency, or state and local government environments.
• Understanding of enterprise architecture principles, data management practices, and integration patterns in complex government IT landscapes.
• Hands-on experience with AI-Powered Process Automation platforms or similar enterprise orchestration technologies.
