Educational Consultant – Per Diem -Southern California (EdTech)

Location: Based in Southern California, United States; hybrid with required onsite district work. Candidates must live in or be open to relocating to Southern California, have their own transportation and a valid driver's license. Travel up to 70% is required, including overnight stays and travel by car, plane, or public transportation.

Compensation: $30–$65 per hour, depending on the assigned work. Compensation is also provided for professional development delivery, internal training, travel time, and travel expenses.

What you will do

• Deliver professional development, product training, and support for teachers, coaches, school leaders, and administrators.
• Coordinate onsite training and adapt professional development workshops to participant needs, with the preferred ability to present in Spanish.
• Support implementation of Ready and i-Ready to improve classroom learning and equity.
• Provide tailored instructional support, including lesson planning, pacing, data analysis, and applying data to instruction.
• Work with leaders to identify implementation successes and challenges.
• Complete internal professional development, observations, coaching, detailed training notes, and assignments on time.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and at least 2 years of experience in teaching, coaching teachers, and providing professional development.
• Strong working knowledge of Common Core State Standards for Grades K–8, including content and practice standards, or comparable state standards.
• Experience teaching at the secondary level, Grades 6–12, is preferred.
• Fluency with digital tools and online assessments, including confidence discussing and applying data with teachers and leaders.
• Understanding of adult learning principles and their application to professional development.
• Excellent facilitation, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Strong time management, organizational, prioritization, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Excellent computer and internet skills, including Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to work independently and as part of an educational cohort.
• Own transportation and a valid driver's license are required.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of online meeting programs such as Zoom or WebEx.
• Ability to present in Spanish.
