Associate Counsel / Counsel, Corporate Legal Affairs (AI)

Location: Hybrid in New York, NY, United States; requires working from the New York office at least four days per week. Must be willing to work in New York, NY and have unrestricted authorization to work in the United States.

Salary: Associate Counsel: $110,000–$140,000 per year; Counsel: $150,000–$185,000 per year. Associate Counsel is bonus eligible; Counsel is bonus and LTI eligible.

What you will do

• Provide day-to-day legal support to corporate functions including Finance, Human Resources, Talent Acquisition, Environmental Health and Safety, Facilities, and Corporate Social Responsibility.
• Draft, review, negotiate, and interpret SaaS licenses, professional services, research, equipment purchase, and other commercial agreements.
• Support strategic procurement initiatives and transactions with vendors and innovative companies using emerging technologies, including AI.
• Advise business stakeholders on technology transactions, legal risks, and practical solutions supporting business objectives.
• Partner with executives, attorneys, Privacy, Information Security, and other cross-functional subject-matter experts.
• Develop and implement contract templates, corporate policies, legal processes, and organization-wide commercial contracting best practices.

Requirements

• Membership in the New York Bar is required.
• JD or LLM degree from an accredited law school is required.
• Associate Counsel requires 1–3 years of relevant practicing attorney legal experience; Counsel requires 4+ years.
• Unrestricted authorization to work in the United States is required.
• Willingness to work in New York, NY is required.
• Strong analytical, drafting, negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to explain complex legal concepts and provide practical legal advice to business stakeholders at all levels.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines across diverse subject matters and clients.
• Collaborative approach to working with business stakeholders and legal colleagues.
