Senior Electrical Engineer

TL;DR

Senior Electrical Engineer (Built Asset Consultancy): Undertaking feasibility studies, detailed technical design of electrical services, and producing tender packages for projects across public, environmental, commercial, and education sectors with an accent on surveying infrastructure and providing technical advice during construction. Focus on independent design from RIBA Stage 0-4, site monitoring for conformity, and supporting M&E service growth.

Location: Bristol (Hybrid Working). Majority of work in Southwest and South Wales. Full UK driving licence required. Willing to travel depending on project locations.

What you will do

• Undertake project feasibility studies and electrical condition surveys, including pre-acquisition and dilapidation surveys.
• Perform detailed technical design of electrical services from RIBA Stage 0-4 and produce technical drawings and full tender packages.
• Monitor electrical works on site, report on conformity and quality, and act as technical advisor to clients and contractors.
• Liaise with internal project teams, develop commercial strategies, and support growth of in-region M&E services.
• Comply with environmental, health, safety, security, and quality standards.

Requirements

• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel (majority Southwest England and South Wales).
• BSc Electrical Engineering degree (minimum) and recognised M&E qualification; Chartered or willing to obtain MCIBSE (or equivalent).
• Track record in similar role with high-level independent electrical design experience from RIBA 0-4, asset surveying, and technical due diligence.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and relevant software (CAD, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office); REVIT beneficial.
• Excellent communication, customer service, and client interface skills; well-organised, proactive, and commercially astute.

• REVIT experience.
• Experience using technology like tablets on site.
