Product BIM Specialist, Global (BIM)

What you will do

• Develop and maintain the Product BIM content library, including Revit families, type catalogs, shared parameters, templates, and reusable digital assets.
• Build modular product components, assemblies, and configuration structures that reduce project-specific modeling and engineering effort.
• Align BIM content with product structures, bills of materials, PLM records, taxonomy, metadata, and downstream systems.
• Develop BIM quality, validation, interoperability, and model-coordination workflows for accurate, clash-free, and constructible product models.
• Automate repetitive content-development, validation, and data-exchange tasks using Dynamo, scripting, APIs, and digital engineering tools.
• Prepare technical guidance and support adoption with Product Engineering, regional BIM teams, consultants, suppliers, and technology teams.

Requirements

• 5–8 years of progressive experience in BIM, virtual design and construction, digital engineering, design automation, product configuration, or a related discipline.
• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related technical field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Advanced proficiency with Autodesk Revit and practical experience developing advanced Revit families, templates, type catalogs, shared parameters, and content libraries.
• Strong understanding of modular design, assemblies, product structures, configurable design, BIM interoperability, and multidisciplinary engineering workflows.
• Working knowledge of MEP disciplines, equipment, engineering workflows, BOM management, PDM, configuration management, or PLM concepts.
• Ability to translate product and engineering requirements into scalable digital structures and collaborate across engineering, technology, and business teams.

Nice to have

• Experience with Autodesk Platform Services, APIs, the AEC Data Model, Dynamo, or other engineering automation tools.
• Knowledge of ISO 19650, IFC, OpenBIM, and related digital information standards.
• Experience with PLM, PDM, ERP, product configuration platforms, or modular and industrialized product development.
• Experience in the data center industry or in large multidisciplinary, multiregional organizations.
