Web Application Architect 4 (AWS)

Location: Arlington, VA - 1801 S Bell (INDG), United States of America; onsite role.

Salary: $175,000–$225,000 per year.

What you will do

• Guide technical direction across multiple teams, products, domains, and business units.
• Architect, design, develop, integrate, deliver, maintain, and support high-quality customer-facing web applications.
• Design scalable, highly available, and high-performance products across front-end and back-end architectures.
• Shape broad architecture and deliver large services, complex libraries, and major infrastructure components.
• Define technical best practices, roadmaps, and strategic technology growth opportunities.
• Lead cross-team initiatives and communicate technical solutions to cross-functional and non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• 7 years of software development experience and/or commensurate skills building commercial applications with modern software engineering principles and practices.
• Knowledge across multiple technical domains and understanding of how and why technologies are deployed and utilized.
• Experience building stability, performance, and scalability across major business-critical systems.
• Experience devising and implementing long-term strategies to reduce complexity and cost.
• Demonstrated experience with cloud technologies, including AWS, Serverless, Event-Driven Architecture, SOA, Microservices, Microfrontend, CI/CD, and Infrastructure as Code.
• Professional software engineering experience across the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, architecture and design patterns, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
