AWS Solution Architect (DevSecOps)

Location: Bethesda, MD; US citizenship required with the ability to secure a public trust clearance.

What you will do

• Lead DevSecOps architecture, automation, monitoring, testing, and CI/CD initiatives across large-scale multi-cloud and on-premises platforms.
• Architect and implement production enterprise applications in AWS that leverage AI/ML, with scalable, secure, and resilient designs targeting 99.9% uptime and 24/7 availability.
• Build infrastructure-as-code solutions with Terraform and AWS-native capabilities, integrating security and code-quality scanning into CI/CD pipelines.
• Guide AI/ML integration, data architectures, serverless and containerized microservices, and SPA/MPA DevSecOps practices.
• Lead observability, incident response, disaster recovery, and platform operations, including 24/7 support, 15-minute incident response, and MTTR of 90 minutes or less for internal code faults.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to multidisciplinary Agile DevSecOps engineering teams.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship and ability to secure a public trust clearance.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field; a master's degree is a plus.
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect — Associate or Professional certification.
• 10+ years of Information Technology experience focused on development projects, DevSecOps, AI/ML engineering projects, and technical architecture, including 3 years in architecture, design, and production enterprise applications on AWS cloud platforms using AI/ML.
• Experience leading large-scale enterprise DevSecOps initiatives involving architecture, automation, and CI/CD pipelines across multi-cloud and on-premises platforms.
• Experience with AWS EC2, S3, Aurora, RDS, OpenSearch, CloudFormation, CloudTrail, CloudWatch, Lambda, Kinesis, EKS, and KMS.
• Experience with Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker, Harness, and Backstage.
• Knowledge of federal security and compliance standards, including FISMA and FedRAMP, and experience supporting the ATO process.

Nice to have

• Experience with the DHS Enterprise Architecture Technical Reference Model and IPv6 (USGv6) compliance.
• Prior DHS or large federal civilian cloud platform experience.
• Master's degree in a related technical field.
