Product Trainer - Associate (Insurance)

Location: Hybrid, based in either the greater Des Moines, Iowa, area or the greater Salt Lake City, Utah, area; office work Monday–Thursday with remote flexibility on Friday. Business travel of up to 10% may be required.

Base salary: $75,000–$90,000 per year, plus equity and an annual performance bonus.

What you will do

• Coordinate and deliver instructor-led onsite and virtual training sessions for customers, partners, and employees.
• Develop and maintain job-specific and product-specific training modules, courses, certification materials, curricula, and programs.
• Design, develop, and record video and technical product education content, and maintain materials in the Learning Management System.
• Translate complex software functionality and technical concepts into clear guidance adapted to different audiences and end-user skill levels.
• Partner with Sales and Product Management to identify training needs, schedule sessions, and support sales and marketing initiatives.
• Monitor participant progress and competencies, define KPIs and evaluation methods, and improve training programs, product utilization, and end-user satisfaction.

Requirements

• 3+ years of corporate adult training experience, including proprietary software application training, instructional design for software applications, technical training, and adult learning theories and practices.
• Experience in the annuities or life insurance industry.
• Strong verbal and written communication, training, presentation, and professional public-speaking skills, including onsite and web-based training in ILT and vILT environments for people with varying computer skills and educational levels.
• Strong computer and software skills, including virtual training and collaboration tools and LMS administration and maintenance.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to understand requirements, identify issues during software training, and develop timely solutions through education and training materials.
• Strong work ethic, commitment to quality, disciplined and organized project execution, methodical approach, and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently or collaboratively within a team environment.
• Ability to teach targeted skills and commitment to supporting participant success.
• Willingness and ability to travel for business purposes up to 10%.
