Instructional Designer (AI)

Location: Hybrid role based in Cranbury, New Jersey, United States.

Salary: $55,000–$65,000 annually, depending on qualifications; eligible for an annual company bonus program or commission incentive based on the role.

What you will do

• Develop engaging eLearning modules, microlearning, and interactive assets in Articulate 360.
• Create PowerPoint decks, facilitator guides, participant worksheets, job aids, and quick-reference guides following brand standards.
• Partner with the Talent & Development Generalist and subject matter experts to gather content, define learning objectives, and create storyboards and outlines.
• Apply instructional design principles, including ADDIE and adult learning theory, to create clear, practical, and accessible learning experiences.
• Upload, test, maintain, and administer courses in Workday Learning, including enrollments, assignments, and completion tracking.
• Review and update existing training content and contribute to additional Talent & Development projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required; Instructional Design, Education, Communications, Organizational Development, or a related field preferred.
• 0–2 years of experience in instructional design, eLearning development, training, or a related field.
• Portfolio of work samples required, such as an eLearning module, storyboard, job aid, or training deck.
• Working knowledge of Articulate 360 or a comparable eLearning authoring tool.
• Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and SharePoint.
• Familiarity with adult learning principles and instructional design models such as ADDIE and SAM.
• Strong writing and editing skills, including the ability to turn complex information into clear, concise content.
• Detail-oriented and organized, able to manage multiple projects and shift priorities.
• Collaborative team player who accepts feedback and takes ownership of projects.
• Ability to discuss practical use of AI tools for outlines, storyboards, assessment questions, scripts, or initial training-content drafts; verification of AI-generated content for accuracy, tone, and learning-objective alignment; appropriate handling of confidential or proprietary information; and adoption and knowledge-sharing of new tools.

Nice to have

• Articulate Storyline, Synthesia, Canva, or Adobe Creative Cloud.
• LMS experience, preferably Workday Learning.
• Basic graphic design or video editing skills.
• Familiarity with healthcare, life sciences, or media.
• An example of an AI-assisted workflow that improved time or quality.
