What you will do

• Conduct needs analysis and use defined objectives to develop synchronous and asynchronous learning solutions for identified clients.
• Design and develop text, graphics, animations, simulations, and assessment instruments.
• Create blended, facilitator-led, and web-based training using adult learning theory and instructional design models including ADDIE and SAM.
• Manage development timelines, milestones, multiple projects, and partner relationships to deliver work on schedule and to quality standards.
• Ensure writing, assignment directions, navigation, and course components are clear and appropriate for the intended audience, and publish courses to the LMS.
• Follow risk, regulatory, internal control, audit, and escalation requirements while supporting an inclusive M&T Bank environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and at least 2 years of relevant work experience, or, in lieu of a degree, at least 6 combined years of education and relevant work experience including at least 1 year of instructional design, course development, or curriculum development experience.
• Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills.
• Critical thinking, analysis, and synthesis skills.
• Planning, organization, and self-management skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively and creatively in a deadline-driven environment.
• Ability to manage multiple projects at different stages while meeting deadlines and quality standards.
• Ability to work independently, service business-line requests, manage partner relationships, and work flexibly in an agile team structure.

Nice to have

• Experience in training and development, retail, sales, or financial and banking services.
• Experience designing web-based and instructor-led training with Articulate 360 and Adobe Creative Cloud.
• Advanced degree in Instructional Design, Curriculum Design, or Adult Education.
• ATD certification.
