AI Engineer #1

Location: Hybrid, based in the Stockholm office, Sweden

hirify.global is building a transparent and flexible credit business and becoming an AI-driven bank, serving around 50,000 active customers with a team based in Stockholm, Crete, and the UK.

What you will do

• Design, build, deploy, and iterate AI-powered tools and agents that automate operations and support credit and finance teams.
• Identify AI opportunities across the company, prototype solutions with users, and turn successful experiments into reliable products.
• Own the AWS AI foundation, including Amazon Bedrock, approved tools, model access, logging, cost control, and monitoring.
• Build secure integrations with the codebase, analytics, and data through MCP servers and internal APIs.
• Create templates, self-service environments, documentation, automated CI/CD security and compliance checks, and run workshops for colleagues.

Requirements

• Several years of backend engineering experience and experience building complete products, ideally with TypeScript and Node.js.
• Experience owning production systems end to end, including architecture, operations, incidents, and independent technical decisions.
• Hands-on experience building with LLMs, such as Amazon Bedrock, Anthropic or OpenAI APIs, agents, tool calling, or RAG.
• Solid production AWS experience covering IAM, networking, security, infrastructure as code such as Terraform or CDK, CI/CD, containers, and monitoring.
• A security-first approach and understanding of handling sensitive personal and financial data.
• Ability to turn vague business problems into concrete solutions and drive them to completion without a detailed specification.
• Ability to work directly with non-technical colleagues and explain technical topics simply.
• Fluent English, which is the working language.

Nice to have

• Experience building internal tools, automation, or AI agents used across a company.
• Experience building MCP servers or integrating AI with Slack, GitLab, or a data warehouse.
• Experience with AI evaluation or LLM observability tools such as Langfuse or LangSmith.
• Experience with policy as code or automated security and compliance checks in pipelines.
• Experience in banking or payments, or familiarity with ISO 27001, DORA, or the EU AI Act.
• Experience with PostgreSQL and data platforms such as Snowflake.
