IT Program Manager, IT Governance (Healthcare IT)

Location: Fully remote from AL, AK, AR, AZ, DE, FL, GA, IA, ID, IN, IL, LA, KS, KY, ME, MI, MO, MS, MT, NC, ND, NE, NH, NM, NV, OH, OK, PA, SC, SD, TN, TX, UT, VA, WI, WV, or WY. Preferred remote locations include IL, WI, NC, and GA. No relocation, visa sponsorship, or visa transfer is available.

Salary: $59.00–$88.50 per hour.

What you will do

• Own and champion the enterprise IT Governance process, including its lifecycle, common operating standards, communications, education, and adoption.
• Coordinate the IT Executive Steering Committee by managing intake readiness, agendas, decision materials, action tracking, communications, and follow-through.
• Manage the delivery of large and complex strategic IT projects on time, within budget, and within agreed functionality and tolerances.
• Engage senior IT and business leaders and steering committees with progress reporting, business-objective tracking, risk analysis, and corrective-action recommendations.
• Lead project teams of 10–40 staff in a matrix environment, mentor project managers, and support waterfall, RAD, and package implementation approaches.
• Manage requirements, estimates, baselines, resources, expenditures, post-implementation analysis, benefits tracking, and lessons learned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology or a related field.
• Typically 7 years of project management experience, including at least 5 years managing large complex projects above $1 million with a proven record of successful delivery.
• Expertise in industry-standard program management methodologies and tools.
• Ability to analyze complex projects, break them into components, and create detailed work-breakdown structures and project plans.
• Ability to lead diverse technical resources across different domains and build high-performing teams in a matrix environment.
• Strong influencing, persuasion, communication, and stakeholder-management skills, including concise communication with senior leaders.
• Ability to establish goals, milestones, priorities, assignments, project status reporting, risk reporting, and issue communication.
• Ability to manage project scope, budgets, estimates, resources, equipment, delivery tolerances, and business requirements.
• Strong initiative, attention to detail, delivery focus, tenacity, and sound decision-making.
