Operating Model Consultant (Health & Life Sciences)

Location: New York, NY, United States; hybrid work with attendance in the office or on a client site at least 2 days per week, and up to 5 days per week on a client site depending on the role or assignment.

Salary range: $115,800–$121,900.

What you will do

• Design future-state operating models covering organizational structures, governance, capabilities, and ways of working.
• Analyze complex business challenges and develop practical recommendations, business cases, and transformation roadmaps.
• Facilitate stakeholder discussions and workshops with operational teams and executive leadership.
• Assess organizational capabilities, operating models, and ways of working to identify performance and transformation opportunities.
• Support high-impact transformation initiatives across pharmaceutical, biotech, medtech, and healthcare organizations.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of professional experience in consulting, health and life sciences, transformation, or a related industry role; this is not an entry-level position.
• Experience supporting clinical, R&D, medical, regulatory, commercial, or enterprise transformation initiatives within pharmaceutical, biotech, medtech, or healthcare organizations.
• Understanding of the scientific processes behind client challenges and solutions.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to synthesize complex information into clear recommendations and insights.
• Proactive approach and desire to solve difficult challenges with creativity and structure.
• Experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, healthcare, and patient-centered operating models and organizational design; clinical development, R&D, or commercial transformation; governance, capability, and process design; enterprise and technology-enabled transformation; or change delivery, product ownership, or agile ways of working.
