Gerente de Seguridad de Procesos (EHS)

hirify.global operates the brewery site where the role leads process safety management for critical manufacturing operations.

What you will do

• Develop, lead, implement, maintain, and continuously improve the site Process Safety Management system for chlorine, ammonia, hazardous energy sources, and critical manufacturing processes.
• Manage the 14 PSM elements, including PHA facilitation, mechanical integrity for pressure vessels, piping and refrigeration systems, relief system verification, Management of Change, PSSR, documentation, audits, and self-assessments.
• Apply OSHA 29 CFR 1910.119, NOM-028-STPS, RAGAGEP, IIAR, Chlorine Institute, and other Mexican regulatory requirements to site decisions.
• Conduct risk modeling and simulations for hazardous chemical scenarios, monitor risk matrices, and support CAPEX proposals for risk reduction.
• Coordinate emergency response drills, contractor safety, hazard communication, training, incident investigations, corrective actions, and process safety performance reporting.
• Lead the site PSM Committee and govern high-risk work permits, including LOTO, confined spaces, work at heights, and electrical safety.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering or a related field.
• At least 10 years of overall experience in industrial environments such as manufacturing, chemical processing, food and beverage, or related sectors, with increasing responsibility in safety, engineering, or operations.
• At least 3 years of experience in process safety or refrigeration systems.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA PSM regulations, OSHA 29 CFR 1910.119, NOM-028-STPS, RAGAGEP, IIAR, and Chlorine Institute standards and guidelines.
• Hands-on experience with ammonia and chlorine systems, PHA facilitation, mechanical integrity, incident investigation, HIRA/IPER, and PHA/PSM.
• Experience with Incident Investigation Root Cause Analysis.
• Ability to facilitate PHAs and manage compliance programs.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, documentation, crisis management, resilience, independent working, collaboration, and cross-functional influencing skills.
• Medium English level.

Nice to have

• Experience with PHAST, ALOHA, Aspen, or equivalent simulation tools.
