Applications Engineer (Wet Seal Systems)

Location: 57060 Tlalnepantla, Estado de México, Mexico; onsite, full-time.

What you will do

• Prepare selections, quotations, and competitive techno-commercial proposals for wet seal support systems and mechanical sealing solutions across the Americas.
• Evaluate customer requirements and specifications, research technical data, select materials, determine lead times, and establish costing and pricing.
• Select seals and piping plans, size sealant systems, develop customer designs, perform engineering calculations, and recommend design or component changes.
• Review and record customer and project specifications from OEMs, EPCs, and end users.
• Provide technical assistance and recommendations to customers, sales, and internal personnel through written and verbal communication.
• Conduct post-order kick-off meetings and contract reviews, prepare technical submittal files, and support technical clarifications and pricing changes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, mechatronic, instrumentation, or chemical engineering is preferred.
• At least 5 years of experience including engineering design, instrumentation, and manufacturing knowledge.
• Experience with instrumentation, fluid manifolds, seal systems, and the mechanical seal industry is preferred but not mandatory.
• Working knowledge of personal computing and engineering design and simulation software.
• Thorough knowledge of interpreting customer and project specifications for OEMs, EPCs, and end users.
• Working knowledge of API 682 and API 610 standards, as well as B31.3 and ASME VIII.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, changing priorities, and assignment reprioritization.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Advanced English and Spanish communication skills.
