Machine Safety Advanced Support (Machinery Safety)

Location: Monterrey, Mexico. Hybrid work model with the office as the primary workplace and the option to work from home up to two days per week, subject to role eligibility and team arrangements.

What you will do

• Conduct periodic risk assessments of operating machines according to the annual plan.
• Assess new machines and technologies and validate acceptable risk levels before release and during normal operation.
• Act as the Machine Safety Advisor and support continuous improvement in machinery safety expertise.
• Lead GLS activities for machinery incidents at the local or other plants.
• Support Practical Problem Solving and improvement initiatives focused on machinery.
• Deliver machine safety training and create and track observations in SAP.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in engineering or Safety and Environment areas.
• Completed bachelor's degree with certificate in Mechatronics, Mechanical-Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or Safety and Environmental Engineering.
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, controls, and reading their diagrams.
• Basic knowledge of Environment, Health, and Safety.
• Proactive problem-solving, self-directed learning, decision-making, leadership, and the ability to work based on applicable regulations.
• A CV in PDF format must be attached to the application.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Machinery Safety Directive 2006/42/EC, ISO 12100, IEC 60204, ISO 14120, STPS NOM 004, ergonomics, Power BI, SharePoint, or Power Apps.
