Director Corporate Accounting (M&A)

Salary: $152,000–$266,000 per year; exact salary depends on qualifications, experience, and location.

What you will do

• Support divisional business development and finance teams with mergers and acquisitions activities, including due diligence, deal model review, valuation, purchase accounting, transaction documentation, SOX control compliance, integration, and financial reporting.
• Research, document, and resolve technical accounting issues and complex transactions with internal and external stakeholders.
• Support quarterly SEC filings by preparing and reviewing financial statement schedules and footnotes.
• Prepare, update, and monitor adherence to global accounting policies.
• Assess the impact of new purchase accounting and reporting pronouncements and support implementation of new standards.
• Develop and lead periodic training for global finance and accounting teams on M&A accounting trends and applicable guidance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and CPA license.
• 10+ years of experience, including experience with a Big 4 public accounting firm and/or a global Fortune 500 company.
• Substantial experience and working knowledge of authoritative U.S. GAAP and IFRS technical accounting research and application.
• Strong communication skills, including the ability to explain complex information clearly and concisely to stakeholders, senior management, and teams.
• Ability to oversee the collection, review, and analysis of data and present accounting matters and recommendations.
• Ability to build effective relationships with internal partners and external customers.
• Ability to lead effective teams for at least 2 years.
• Ability to perform activities safely and support Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.
