Electrical Engineer - Healthcare

Location: Hybrid office schirify.globalule required at one of the listed US locations: Royal Oak, MI; Chicago, IL; or Boston, MA. Regular in-office days and work from home are available.

Salary: $140,000–$175,000 annually.

What you will do

• Lead the design and documentation of complex electrical systems, including distribution risers, lighting controls, emergency power, and low-voltage systems.
• Validate and approve electrical engineering calculations, including service sizing, short circuit, voltage drop, and lighting power density calculations.
• Oversee electrical Revit model setup, views, sheet organization, system browser strategies, and annotation standards.
• Coordinate with architectural, structural, and civil teams to resolve system conflicts and serve as the primary electrical technical contact.
• Review and approve electrical submittals, RFIs, and substitutions; perform site visits, field verification, punch walks, and field reporting.
• Provide design leadership, guide QAQC, mentor junior engineers and designers, and contribute to fee development, scoping, resource planning, and project meetings.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or an equivalent qualification.
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) licensure.
• Experience understanding project financial status, developing project cost budgets, valuing client relationships, and delivering projects with a focus on quality.
• Ability to work in a hybrid office schirify.globalule at one of the listed locations.
• Written and verbal communication skills commensurate with the position.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Revit experience.
• Experience using computers for word processing, spreadsheet creation and use, and email.
• Detail-oriented, self-motivated, enthusiastic, flexible, and curious approach; ability to work effectively with others under deadline situations.
• Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally by phone, video conference, and in person.
• Ability to work for prolonged periods at a desk and on a computer, with the visual acuity required for the responsibilities.

Nice to have

• 10+ years of experience in the AEC industry.
