System Safety Engineer (Aircraft Safety)

Location: Getafe Area, Madrid, Spain; hybrid working model when possible.

What you will do

• Perform System Safety Assessment activities for military aircraft systems from development phases through final certification.
• Identify and classify failure conditions by systematically examining system functions according to their severity.
• Establish system safety requirements and conduct preliminary evaluations of proposed architectures against safety objectives.
• Generate technical evidence demonstrating compliance with required safety standards to Airworthiness Authorities.
• Conduct common-cause analyses, including Particular Risk, Zonal, Common Mode, and Continuous Airworthiness Risk Analyses.
• Manage supplier data and safety requirements across interacting systems, hardware, software, and technical domains.

Requirements

• Degree in Aeronautical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Professional experience in Systems Engineering with interfaces to Safety, Airworthiness, or Certification.
• Good understanding of aircraft systems.
• Advanced MS Office skills.
• Advanced English proficiency.
• Teamwork mindset, problem-solving skills, and high adaptability to working in a networking mode.

Nice to have

• Experience with safety tools such as Isograph FaultTree+.
• Experience with System Safety Assessment.
