Manager - Sourcing Strategy, Management & Governance

Location: Hybrid; Hartford, Connecticut, with other location in St. Paul, Minnesota; United States

Annual base salary: $99,100–$163,400

What you will do

• Manage supplier work orders and sourcing portfolios across assigned business lines, including intake, modifications, closures, analysis, process optimization, and reporting.
• Advise stakeholders on sourcing models, supplier selection, workforce demand planning, rate cards, supplier performance, and resource utilization.
• Own resource onboarding, technical assessments, vendor performance monitoring, risk identification, issue resolution, and supplier governance activities.
• Coordinate supplier migrations and work transitions, including movement from internal resources to external suppliers and onboarding of new supplier teams.
• Build relationships with business stakeholders, finance partners, procurement, supplier contacts, senior leaders, DFRs, and strategy teams.
• Identify process improvements and automation opportunities, including AI-enabled reporting, workflow management, data analysis, and recurring operational work.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
• At least 3 years of experience in sourcing, workforce strategy, supplier management, or a related field.
• At least 4 years of experience in finance, financial planning, accounting, or a related field.
• Strong working knowledge of sourcing models, including managed services, staff augmentation, GSO, POD/catalog models, and rate card structures.
• Familiarity with rate card structures, role modernization concepts, and supplier performance principles.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to evaluate sourcing data, identify trends, and provide actionable recommendations.
• Strong stakeholder management, written and verbal communication, problem-solving, prioritization, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to manage complex and ambiguous situations, multiple workstreams, competing priorities, and deadlines while adapting to change.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel and PowerPoint, and demonstrated initiative in adopting tools and process improvements.
• Demonstrated proficiency or willingness to develop proficiency with AI-powered tools and large language models, including Claude, and apply them to sourcing workflows, reporting, and operational tasks.

Nice to have

• Experience with Fieldglass, ACS, and workforce planning tools.
• Experience supporting or managing work transitions, supplier migrations, or sourcing model changes.
