Category Management & Strategic Sourcing Senior Manager (Business Software Technology)

Location: Hybrid in Bloomfield, Connecticut; other locations include Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; Franklin, Tennessee; and St. Louis, Missouri. Occasional or permanent home working requires cable broadband or fiber internet with at least 10 Mbps download and 5 Mbps upload.

Salary: $126,500–$210,800 annually, depending on experience and geographic location; eligible for an annual bonus plan.

What you will do

• Lead a team delivering end-to-end sourcing, contracting, and supplier management for software, SaaS, cloud solutions, and technology services.
• Develop and execute category strategies, market analyses, supplier assessments, RFPs, negotiations, contracting, and supplier selection.
• Negotiate complex software, cloud, SaaS, and technology services agreements, including master agreements, statements of work, transaction documents, and purchase agreements.
• Drive value through cost optimization, risk reduction, innovation, operational efficiency, and supplier performance management.
• Improve procurement processes, tools, reporting, metrics, governance, standardization, scalability, automation, and AI-enabled productivity.
• Partner with business, technology, operations, finance, legal, information security, privacy, compliance, risk, and supplier stakeholders while developing and supporting sourcing professionals.

Requirements

• BA or BS in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field, and/or relevant work experience.
• 8+ years of progressive experience within a large, global organization.
• Excellent project management, negotiation, verbal communication, and written communication skills.
• Strong communication, facilitation, leadership, influencing, motivation, time management, organization, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Structured problem-solving and decision-making skills, including the ability to apply fact-based negotiation principles and tactics.
• Understanding of strategic and sourcing implications of key industry trends and developments.
• Strong analytical, cross-functional communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
• Fundamental understanding of corporate and/or administrative supply chains.
• Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, rapidly changing environment with periods of ambiguity and articulate potential solutions to key executives.

Nice to have

• Previous management experience.
• Experience in a cross-functional business team environment and the ability to foster working relationships across internal departments.
