Global Commodity Manager (Data Center Sourcing)

Location: Remote within the United States, with occasional required travel to and work at the North Andover, Massachusetts office for meetings, training, or other business needs. Domestic and international travel may be required.

Salary: $125,000–$140,000 yearly

What you will do

• Develop and execute global category and sourcing strategies for tanks, weldments, valves, valve systems, and related components serving data center and adjacent infrastructure markets.
• Build supplier development, risk management, capacity expansion, productivity, and strategic partnership programs.
• Partner with Engineering, Operations, Quality, Finance, and Product Management on design-to-cost, supplier qualification, new product development, and sourcing execution.
• Lead supplier relationship management, commercial negotiations, performance measurement, continuous improvement, and long-term partnership development.
• Deliver productivity targets through strategic sourcing, value engineering, cost optimization, and supply base consolidation.
• Use spend analytics, market intelligence, supplier benchmarking, cost modeling, digital procurement tools, and AI-enabled technologies to improve sourcing decisions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, Operations Management, Manufacturing, or a related discipline.
• At least 7 years of experience in strategic sourcing, commodity management, procurement, or supply chain.
• Proven experience with supplier negotiations, contract management, category strategies, supplier relationship management, and productivity improvements.
• Experience with global and low-cost-country sourcing initiatives and collaboration across cross-functional teams.
• Proficiency with ERP systems, spend analysis tools, and Microsoft Office applications.
• Must establish employment eligibility and complete background checks and required pre-employment testing.

Nice to have

• MBA or master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
• Experience sourcing mechanical infrastructure components for data centers, mission-critical facilities, industrial infrastructure, HVAC, cooling, water distribution, or building automation.
• Experience with carbon and stainless steel plate, pressure vessel components, tank weldments, boiler tubes, or related technologies.
• Experience with sourcing transformation, supplier consolidation, organizational change, or suppliers across North America, Europe, and Asia.
• CPSM, CSCP, C.P.M., or another relevant professional certification.
