Program Manager – Project Digitalization & Data Integration (f/m/d)

Location: Germany; locations include Erlangen, Hamburg, and Frankfurt am Main. Flexible and remote work is available.

What you will do

• Identify and prioritize information-management use cases across engineering, procurement, logistics, site teams, and the EPC project lifecycle.
• Lead BIM Recalibration@GS SO and convert its outcomes into repeatable processes, workflows, responsibilities, and handovers.
• Define requirements for reliable data flows and digital interfaces and guide implementation with solution architects, digital teams, and tool owners based on ISO 19650 principles.
• Lead communication, training, and rollout support to drive adoption of new processes and digital practices.
• Steer the GS SO data-integration roadmap, aligning it with the GS Data Backbone initiative and defining shared data definitions, cross-system mappings, source-of-truth rules, ownership, and quality expectations.
• Track implementation, adoption, and business benefits while improving processes and scaling proven integration approaches.

Requirements

• Degree in engineering, business informatics, digitalization, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
• Several years of experience leading cross-functional programs, process improvement, or data-integration initiatives, ideally in energy, engineering, construction, or other complex project environments.
• Ability to understand EPC information needs, information creation and usage, and movement between tools and project phases, translating these into requirements and governed processes.
• Strong conceptual and practical understanding of relational storage, knowledge graphs, tool-specific and cross-tool/domain ontologies, semantic layers, replication, ingestion, and platforms such as Snowflake.
• Ability to identify the same object across systems, harmonize values, determine valid sources, validate completeness and quality, and retain traceability.
• Practical knowledge of BIM methodology and ISO 19650.
• Strong stakeholder-management and change-management skills with a structured delivery mindset.
• Very good English and good German communication skills.
