Solicitor - Motor Role (Insurance Litigation)

What you will do

• Handle a varied caseload of litigated motor injury and credit hire cases in County Court and High Court jurisdictions.
• Progress files within client instructions and agreed handling authority, targets, quality standards, and service level agreements.
• Interview witnesses, draft statements, pleadings, and applications, and maintain accurate case management information.
• Liaise professionally with insured parties, insurers, witnesses, colleagues, clients, counsel, and other third parties.
• Instruct counsel and attend conferences, consultations, mediations, court hearings, trials, and settlement conferences remotely, by telephone, or in person.
• Ensure compliance with LSNI regulations.

Requirements

• Law degree and qualification as a solicitor with 2–5 years PQE.
• Good telephone advocacy skills and an understanding of case law, litigation practice and process, and Court Rules.
• Excellent listening, verbal, written communication, interpersonal, and client care skills.
• Ability to prioritise work, meet deadlines, work under pressure, take initiative, and adapt to changing situations.
• Ability to work to agreed targets and service level agreements.
• Excellent research, analytical, and IT skills.
• Positive, confident, and enthusiastic approach.

• Previous experience in defence insurance litigation.
