Senior Software Developer (Atlassian Engineer)

Location: Toronto, Canada; hybrid work with at least 3 days per week in the office.

Base pay: $86,000–$118,000 per year, plus annual bonus or commission, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Administer and configure Jira, Jira Service Management, and CMDB for evolving business and operational needs.
• Design and maintain automation rules and JQL-based workflows to improve team efficiency and service delivery.
• Build and manage REST API and webhook integrations between Atlassian platforms and third-party tools.
• Collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders to gather requirements, troubleshoot issues, and deliver scalable platform solutions.
• Develop and maintain analytics dashboards and reporting capabilities to support informed decision-making.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of hands-on experience administering Atlassian tools, including Jira, Jira Service Management, and CMDB.
• Proficiency in JQL and Jira automation for workflow design and configuration.
• Experience with REST APIs and webhooks for integrating Atlassian platforms with third-party tools such as GitHub, Salesforce, Datadog, and Okta.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical teams in a collaborative, global environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience.

Nice to have

• Atlassian certifications such as ACP-120, ACP-620, or ACP-420.
• Hands-on experience with analytics and reporting tools such as Power BI.
• Exposure to enterprise-scale platform environments and global teams.
