Aircraft Performance Engineer - External Performance Models (BADA / ANP)

Location: Getafe Area, Madrid, Spain; hybrid working model when possible.

hirify.global Operations SL develops aerospace products and engineering solutions, with this role embedded in the Aircraft Performance and In-Flight Performance and Operations teams.

What you will do

• Own external aircraft performance models such as BADA and ANP and act as the central contact for internal stakeholders and external partners including Eurocontrol and EASA.
• Lead governance activities, including queries, licensing, decision boards, and long-term improvement roadmaps.
• Design technical validation studies comparing external model outputs with hirify.global reference data and assess accuracy deviations and risks.
• Develop and maintain Python or similar scripting tools for model comparison, validation, and assessment.
• Manage ANP dataset generation and validation for EASA and internal stakeholders, ensuring required quality standards.
• Monitor related performance-model and environmental-performance initiatives, identify opportunities and risks, and share technical guidance and best practices across hirify.global teams.

Requirements

• Degree in Aeronautical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• More than 3 years of professional experience in aircraft performance modeling principles or related engineering environments.
• Advanced proficiency in Python or similar scripting languages for tool development.
• Technical autonomy in troubleshooting and strong analytical rigor in scientific data comparison.
• Advanced English.
• Project management capabilities, proactivity in identifying opportunities and escalating technical alerts, and strong communication skills for synthesizing complex technical data.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with external industry benchmarks and environmental performance models such as BADA, ANP, OpenAP, or CO2 calculators.
