Senior Java Developer – French Speaking (m/f)

Location: Onsite at client and partner sites in Luxembourg.

What you will do

• Design, develop, maintain, and modernize Java applications using Spring Boot and the Spring Framework.
• Build and integrate REST APIs, backend services, and microservices.
• Contribute to technical design, application architecture, and modernization of existing systems.
• Work with SQL, relational databases, data modelling, and ORM; troubleshoot issues and optimize performance.
• Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code; participate in code reviews, automated testing, CI/CD, and deployment.
• Collaborate with developers, architects, business analysts, and stakeholders in Agile teams while maintaining technical documentation.

Requirements

• Fluency in French, written and spoken, is mandatory.
• At least 5 years of professional Java development experience, preferably with complex enterprise applications.
• Strong hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, and the Spring Framework.
• Solid knowledge of REST APIs, microservices, and backend application development.
• Good understanding of object-oriented programming, software design principles, and application architecture.
• Experience with SQL, relational databases, and ORM frameworks such as Hibernate or JPA.
• Experience with Git, Maven, and CI/CD practices.
• Familiarity with automated testing and code quality practices.
• Ability to analyze technical requirements, troubleshoot issues, propose effective solutions, and collaborate within multidisciplinary teams.

Nice to have

• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or containerized application environments.
• Knowledge of messaging and event-driven technologies such as Kafka.
• Experience with frontend technologies, particularly Angular.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and modern deployment environments.
• Previous public sector or large-scale digital transformation project experience.
