What you will do

• Design, develop, and deploy scalable microservices using Java and Spring Boot in AWS-hosted distributed systems.
• Write production-quality code with unit and integration test coverage.
• Build and operate fault-tolerant, horizontally scalable, and cost-effective services.
• Participate in technical design discussions, code reviews, and architectural decisions with cross-disciplinary teams.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines and monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues during on-call rotations.
• Use and contribute to GenAI and AI-powered development tools while collaborating with international, multilingual teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or graduate degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, or a related STEM field, with at least 60 ECTS in programming, algorithms, and systems.
• Expected graduation between October 2025 and September 2026, or graduation within the last 24 months.
• At least 1 year of hands-on Java application development experience, including object-oriented design patterns and the Java Collections Framework.
• Experience with Spring Boot or Spring MVC, RESTful APIs, SQL, Git, cloud application deployment, unit and integration testing, and CI/CD.
• Exposure to the full software development lifecycle through an internship of at least 3 months or a capstone project.
• Professional English proficiency at B2 level or higher is required.

Nice to have

• Technical internship experience of 6 months or more, plus experience with microservices and distributed systems.
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, ECS, NoSQL databases, and monitoring or observability tools.
• Exposure to AI/ML concepts, GenAI tools, TensorFlow, or PyTorch.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity fundamentals, agile methodologies, and open-source or published technical work.
• German or Luxembourgish language proficiency.
