Software Engineer (Kubernetes)

Location: Reno, NV, United States; full-time hybrid and remote candidates accepted

Annual salary: $10,000–$110,000, depending on experience, skills, qualifications, and other relevant factors

What you will do

• Develop high-quality code and build solutions in an Agile development environment.
• Manage testing and coordinate deployments across multiple environments.
• Participate in code reviews, planning, and estimation meetings.
• Containerize applications, create and build images, and troubleshoot containerized systems.
• Use Git, Gitflow, collaborative code repositories, version control, and release management.
• Collaborate with product owners, designers, testers, and other cross-functional team members.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience in a related technical field involving coding.
• 2–5+ years of experience.
• Fluent English and the ability to communicate idiomatically.
• Constant willingness to learn new technologies and best practices across different technology stacks.

Nice to have

• JavaScript and ReactJS, or PHP and Laravel.
• Kubernetes and containerization.
• Microservices architecture, serverless technologies, and cloud functions.
• CI/CD, pipelines, and release and deployment concepts.
• AWS, GCP, or Azure cloud environments.
• Agile software delivery processes and DevOps.
• MySQL or MS SQL, plus relational and non-relational databases such as NoSQL.
• Service API development, REST/JSON, and SOAP.
• Automated unit, integration, and functional testing.
