Global Inbound Logistics Manager (Liquid Cooling)

Location: Remote or hybrid within the Columbia, Maryland area; Columbia, MD or Austin, TX, USA

Salary: $125,000–$130,000 USD per year, plus eligibility for a discretionary bonus.

What you will do

• Convert supplier-controlled inbound freight to EXW, FCA, and occasional DAP terms across domestic and international supply networks.
• Build and maintain global supplier routing guides, carrier and forwarder structures, routing compliance programs, and escalation processes.
• Manage freight forwarders, LTL, truckload, drayage, ocean, air, and expedited air transportation programs, including rates, service levels, and quarterly performance reviews.
• Design inbound material flows for U.S. plants, including consolidation, cross-docking, milk runs, inter-plant transfers, dock scheduling, and yard management.
• Own freight budgets, landed cost models, freight audit and payment, invoice dispute resolution, and logistics performance reporting.
• Improve ERP freight data, shipment visibility, standard operating procedures, and transportation management or supply chain visibility platforms.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, engineering, international business, business management, or a related field.
• 7–12+ years of international and domestic logistics experience, including at least three years managing global inbound freight for manufacturing operations.
• Experience converting supplier-managed freight to buyer-controlled terms with measurable cost and service results.
• Strong working knowledge of Incoterms 2020, freight forwarding, customer brokers, NVOCCs, domestic carriers, rate negotiation, and service-level management.
• Experience with multi-site manufacturing, Asia–U.S. trade lanes, ERP systems, transportation management, supply chain visibility, freight cost modeling, and carrier performance data.
• Ability to travel globally as required and collaborate with operations, engineering, finance, procurement, and executive leadership.

Nice to have

• APICS CLTD, CSCP, Lean, or Six Sigma certification.
• Experience with stainless steel, tubing, weldments, oversized industrial freight, data centre infrastructure, HVAC, fluid systems, or thermal management components.
• Familiarity with liquid cooling infrastructure and data centre supply chains.
