Road Transport Transformation Manager (AI)

Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands; hybrid arrangement with the option to work remotely up to 50% of the month.

What you will do

• Lead global initiatives improving road transport cost, service, efficiency, resilience, and sustainability.
• Establish performance frameworks, KPIs, governance, business cases, action plans, and recommendations for senior leadership.
• Design and optimize road transport networks, including DTC and intermodal capabilities, to improve scalability, capacity, customer service, and cost-to-serve.
• Lead transport transformation projects from concept through implementation, including digital, automation, AI-enabled, and sustainability solutions.
• Strengthen carrier and logistics service provider management through standardized processes and governance.
• Support strategic sourcing, RFQs, and supplier selection decisions in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.

Requirements

• University degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Engineering, Transport, or a related field.
• 5–8 years of experience in road transport, ideally within a multinational company, logistics provider, or transport organization.
• Good understanding of road transport operations and industry best practices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to turn data into actionable insights.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
• Proficiency in Power BI.
• Experience leading projects and influencing stakeholders in a matrix environment.
• Fluent English.

Nice to have

• Interest or experience in AI, automation, data visualization, and digital process improvement.
• Data engineering skills or experience developing Power BI dashboards.
• Additional languages.
