Finance Lead (Web3)

Location: New York and Brooklyn, NY; hybrid

Compensation: $143,047–$178,809 annually, plus token and equity package

What you will do

• Lead financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, scenario planning, and financial modeling across the business.
• Drive finance projects from data validation and variance analysis through solution implementation and delivery.
• Manage daily financial operations, statutory and regulatory compliance, crypto and fiat transactions, payments, settlements, expenses, equity and compensation plans, travel arrangements, and accounts payable.
• Partner with engineering, compliance, business development, legal, accounting, People Operations, Human Resources, and business operations teams on financial processes and workforce planning.
• Track financial and operational metrics, communicate risks and opportunities, prepare board and strategic materials, and present complex financial information clearly.
• Support process automation, tax planning and compliance, contract review, corporate development activities, investments, acquisitions, entity spinouts, divestitures, and asset sales.

Requirements

• BA or BS in Finance or Accounting.
• Extensive finance experience in the digital assets or fintech sector, including cryptocurrency management, international payments, and trading platforms.
• Advanced financial modeling and analytics skills, including the ability to work with large datasets.
• Solid understanding of P&L, balance sheets, cash flow management, and general accounting principles.
• Resourcefulness, sound judgment, and the ability to prioritize and make trade-offs in a dynamic, high-urgency environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, high integrity, and the ability to work across cross-functional teams.
• Ability to turn ambiguous requests into concrete deliverables with minimal supervision and personally perform detailed work.
• Ability to mentor or oversee junior finance team members while remaining responsible for hands-on execution.
• Strong attention to detail, critical-thinking and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work under deadlines.

• MBA from a top-tier school.
• Experience in investment banking, corporate development, and fast-paced startup environments.
• SQL or statistics experience.
• Familiarity with the regulatory landscape for cryptocurrencies.
• Experience in venture capital fundraising.
