Project Engineer (f/m/d) Auxiliary Power Supply

Location: Hybrid remote/office in Erlangen, Bavaria, Germany; domestic and international travel required for customer, supplier, and site clarifications.

What you will do

• Design auxiliary power supply concepts according to customer and country-specific requirements.
• Design and calculate MV/LV switchgears, transformers, rectifiers/inverters, batteries, and diesel generators.
• Prepare RFQs for components and engineering services, evaluate offers, and participate in technical negotiations with specialist planners and suppliers.
• Manage technical control of supplier and specialist planner execution and service delivery.
• Support installation and commissioning of auxiliary power components.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary project teams and explain technical implementations during customer negotiations.

Requirements

• University degree in electrical engineering or a related field, or a comparable technical qualification with long-standing experience.
• Experience engineering electrical systems in turnkey project executions involving auxiliary power supply components.
• Understanding of relevant IEC standards and distribution network planning.
• Professional working proficiency in German and English.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally for customer, supplier, and site clarifications.
• Initiative, proactive collaboration, creativity, quality and result orientation, intercultural awareness, and the ability to work cross-functionally.
