Field Applications Engineer (Power Electronics)

Location: Germany, with the role based in Munich and approximately 30% customer travel

What you will do

• Provide technical support and application advice to key customers through online and on-site meetings.
• Support customer designs and recommend improvements to optimize performance.
• Develop customized designs and hardware for customer requirements.
• Conduct technical workshops showcasing power electronics solutions.
• Support the regional Sales Team in increasing design wins and revenue.
• Travel to visit customers approximately 30% of the time.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or higher; a master's degree is preferred.
• At least four years of experience designing high-voltage switch-mode power supplies.
• Practical laboratory experience designing, building, and testing switch-mode power supplies.
• Knowledge of buck, buck-boost, flyback, and LLC topologies, plus EMI testing and troubleshooting.
• Fluency in written and spoken German and English is mandatory.
• Valid driving license and willingness to travel are required.

Nice to have

• Experience with BLDC motor drives and PCB design tools.
• Background in electric vehicle power hardware.
• Experience with high-voltage transformers and AC/DC switched-mode power supplies.
