Senior Sales Planning & Intelligence Analyst (AI)

Location: San Diego, California, United States; hybrid schedule with mandatory on-site work Tuesday through Thursday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., at the Rancho Bernardo office.

Base salary: $69,432–$92,577 per year, plus eligibility for an annual corporate bonus plan.

What you will do

• Perform analysis, modeling, and reporting for the quarterly sales quota process and business performance measurement across a large retail network.
• Track and report additional KPIs and respond to Sales team questions about targets and quota methodology.
• Identify and implement improvements to data collection, sharing, reporting, AI-driven tools, and automation.
• Maintain, enhance, and build reporting source files, including ad hoc analysis for leadership and cross-functional partners.
• Support testing, validation, and deployment of technology delivered by systems integration teams.
• Train colleagues on analytical reporting tools and processes, serve as backup to the team Lead, and participate in weekly management meetings.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in business analysis, sales operations, data analysis, or a related field.
• Expert-level Microsoft Excel proficiency, including advanced formulas, pivot tables, lookups, and data modeling.
• Expert-level proficiency in Power BI and Power Query.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
• Experience with results-driven dashboard reporting.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain data and methodology to non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Availability to work on-site Tuesday through Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Rancho Bernardo office.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Statistics, Analytics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Nice to have

• Experience in sales quota setting.
• Familiarity with statistics and statistical analysis methods.
• Working knowledge of finance and financial analysis concepts.
• Ability to build flows in automation tools such as Power Automate for desktop or web.
• Working knowledge of API calls.
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP.
• Exposure to AI tools or platforms applied to data or reporting workflows.
• Prior experience presenting to or supporting management-level meetings.
