Inventory Planner (Food Logistics Services)

Location: Hybrid, Assago, Italy

Salary: €50,000–€55,000 gross annually; employment level 3 under the Italian National Collective Labour Agreement for the commercial sector.

Supply Chain Operations secures and develops the supply of hirify.global products between suppliers and retailers, while Category Food Logistics Services manages warehousing, cold-chain transportation, and goods flow for hirify.global Food.

What you will do

• Own supplier-to-distribution-centre and/or distribution-centre-to-distribution-centre inbound availability for assigned products, distribution centres, and markets.
• Maintain inventory and inbound-flow execution, including orders, ERP corrections, physical-flow corrections, bookings, and deviations.
• Balance availability, food safety, freshness, cost, sustainability, and lead-time adherence in inbound-flow planning and follow-up.
• Coordinate suppliers, logistics service providers, distribution centres, and internal planning teams through confirmations, holiday planning, inbound coordination, and invoice follow-up.
• Manage quality, blocked-goods, shelf-life, shortage, and inventory-accuracy deviations through timely action and escalation.
• Improve ways of working with suppliers, logistics service providers, distribution-centre operations, and internal stakeholders.

Requirements

• Experience in supply-chain operations, inventory planning, supply planning, inbound logistics, or distribution-centre flow.
• Confidence working with ERP systems, such as Infor tools, order-management systems, and planning systems.
• Ability to use operational KPIs, inventory data, and deviation follow-up to make clear decisions, including Excel and Power BI.
• Understanding of availability at the lowest cost, freshness, quality, inventory-accuracy risks, and when to act or escalate.
• Strong communication across suppliers, logistics service providers, and internal teams.
• Accuracy, structure, and focus on keeping inbound goods flow reliable every day.
