Controls Engineer II

Location: Tulsa Facility 7 - RTU, United States. Full-time, onsite role.

Salary: $95,161–$117,552 starting base pay annually.

What you will do

• Develop and redesign controls products for air-handling systems in coordination with sales, marketing, service, design engineering, and manufacturing.
• Identify controls strategies, validate deliverables, and support product selection, application, technical support, and customer solutions.
• Manage or support transitions from design to production, including prototyping, testing, equipment setup, training, and interpretation of test results.
• Identify product defects, determine root causes of returned-goods failures, and implement hardware, software, process, and corrective-action improvements.
• Maintain design documentation, procedures, product literature, cost analyses, component specifications, and vendor evaluations.
• Mentor and train team members, provide indirect supervision or direct supervision where applicable, and represent Controls Engineering as a subject-matter expert on cross-functional projects.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of relevant engineering work experience.
• Two-year associate degree in engineering or a related field, or equivalent years of job experience.
• Ability to collaborate with shop-floor personnel and cross-functional teams, provide technical support, and communicate solutions for unique applications.

Nice to have

• Four-year bachelor's degree in engineering.
• Experience with DDC/PLC controller platforms such as Carel.
• Experience with building management system communication protocols such as BACnet or Modbus.
• Experience with function block and structured text coding languages.
• Good understanding of HVAC equipment operation and applications.
