Senior Engineer, Manufacturing Engineering (Metrology)

Location: Bayan Lepas, Penang, Malaysia. Onsite work location: Bayan Lepas PN2--LOC_WDT_MY0704.

What you will do

• Develop and implement advanced metrology tools for manufacturing processes and quality control.
• Set up and transfer new metrology recipes from SZ to Penang.
• Design and conduct measurement studies to analyze and improve product quality.
• Calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot sophisticated metrology equipment.
• Analyze measurement data using statistical methods, optimize measurement conditions, and reduce measurement variation or measurement time.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, lead metrology projects, mentor junior engineers and technicians, prepare technical reports, and contribute to metrology procedures and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical, Electrical, or a related field.
• At least 3–5 years of experience in metrology engineering, preferably in the semiconductor or electronics manufacturing industry.
• Knowledge of metrology principles, techniques, and industry standards such as ISO and ASTM.
• Strong analytical skills with expertise in statistical analysis and data interpretation.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
• Strong technical report writing and presentation skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with diverse teams.
• Detail-oriented approach and strong commitment to accuracy and precision.
