Global Health & Safety Lead

Location: London, United Kingdom; hybrid, with regular travel between markets.

What you will do

• Build repeatable health and safety opening processes, standards, checks, and sign-offs for new clinics across global markets.
• Map market-specific legal requirements and establish global standards with local additions where required.
• Lead health and safety due diligence for new sites and markets, integrating safety into clinic design, construction, contractor selection, audits, and handover.
• Own the global health and safety management system, including risk assessments, operational controls, audits, performance reporting, and compliance checks.
• Manage incident and near-miss reporting, investigations, corrective actions, statutory reporting, emergency planning, and team training.
• Select and implement systems, training, audits, and people needed to manage health and safety at scale.

Requirements

• 8+ years of health and safety experience, including responsibility across more than one country.
• A recognised professional qualification such as the NEBOSH Diploma, CMIOSH, or equivalent.
• Experience building or running a health and safety management system, ideally certified to ISO 45001.
• Hands-on construction or fit-out safety experience for new commercial sites, including contractor safety management.
• Experience leading incident investigations and driving corrective actions through completion.
• Ability to influence operations, construction, and senior leadership teams without direct authority.
• Ability to travel regularly between markets.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations in Neko’s global markets.
• Experience in a regulated environment involving medical equipment or a quality management system.

Nice to have

• ISO 45001 lead auditor training or equivalent.
• Background in a multi-site, public-facing business such as healthcare, fitness, wellness, co-working, technology, retail, or hospitality.
• Experience building a health and safety function as a business scales from a few sites to many.
• Experience selecting and implementing systems to manage health and safety at scale.
