TL;DR
Senior SHEQ Advisor (Construction): Supporting safety, health, environmental and quality performance across major social infrastructure, construction and refurbishment projects with an accent on incident investigations, risk management and operational guidance. Focus on mentoring SHEQ Advisors, analysing performance data, implementing corrective actions and driving continuous improvement across multiple workstreams.
Location: Social Infrastructure, Trafford, UK, with regular travel to project sites

What you will do
- Champion a proactive SHEQ culture across multiple projects and workstreams.
- Provide technical guidance, coaching and mentoring to SHEQ Advisors and operational teams.
- Support contractor performance, compliance matters, risk registers and SHEQ metrics through EcoOnline.
- Lead and support incident, near-miss and non-conformance investigations, including root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Build relationships with clients, subcontractors and operational teams through site-based and remote engagement.
- Analyse SHEQ data and drive initiatives for improved safety, environmental sustainability and quality performance.
Requirements
- Experience in a SHEQ role within construction, refurbishment or infrastructure.
- Strong understanding of UK health and safety legislation and best practice.
- Experience supporting multiple projects or workstreams simultaneously.
- Excellent communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills.
- NEBOSH General Certificate or NEBOSH Construction Certificate, plus NEBOSH Diploma or Level 6 NVQ in Occupational Health and Safety.
- IOSH membership at CMIOSH level or working towards it.
