Safety Compliance Manager

Location: Edinburgh, GB, EH12 9DJ; Remote (>50% remote) with travel across all regions and to headquarters required.

What you will do

• Develop and review minimum global hirify.global HSE standards in collaboration with regional teams, the Incident Manager, and technical support.
• Conduct compliance audits across regions and businesses, ensuring alignment with country- and business-specific plans, procedures, guidelines, Integrated Management Systems, and Internal Audit requirements.
• Follow up on audit actions, identify compliance trends and low-compliance areas, and coordinate internal verification audits between regions.
• Develop and maintain global audit documentation, including adaptations of existing IMS templates.
• Support the development and implementation of compliance and safety programs and execute workstreams and projects aligned with the global HSES strategy.
• Prepare global compliance performance reports for senior leadership and ensure work is aligned with annual objectives agreed with the board.

Requirements

• Recognised safety qualification, such as a NEBOSH Diploma.
• Experience in occupational safety and auditing.
• Good working knowledge and proficiency in MS Office, including advanced Excel knowledge.
• Ability to work autonomously or collaboratively with strict confidentiality.
• Ability to identify issues, take responsibility, and implement solutions in a changing and rapidly developing environment.
• Organised and proactive approach, collaborative communication style, excellent attention to detail, high initiative, and ability to multitask.
• Commitment to completing tasks ethically and with integrity.
• Ability to complete and pass all relevant training required for the role.
• Availability to travel across all regions and to headquarters.

Nice to have

• Internal Auditor ISO 45001 qualification.
• Experience in the energy sector.
