Customs Brokerage Agent - Logistics-Cargo Customs

Location: Salt Lake City, UT, United States. On-site role; Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week.

Salary: USD 26–28 per hour.

What you will do

• Ensure smooth, timely, and compliant customs process flow for import and export cargo.
• Enter accurate customs and operational data from documents and other sources into the customs entry system.
• Track and trace customs files and prepare related reporting.
• Verify customs declaration information and assist with submissions to customs authorities.
• Ensure accurate and timely client billing.
• Interpret desk-level operating procedures and fulfill customer instructions and expectations.

Requirements

• Ability to work with deadlines and timed requirements while handling multiple files and prioritizing details.
• Proactive approach, strong organizational skills, and ability to take ownership of assigned work.
• Strong computer skills, including MS Excel and MS Word.
• Effective interpersonal skills and a positive, team-oriented work ethic.
• Fluent English in reading and writing.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of customs brokerage processes and customs legislation, especially classification, valuation, and origin.
• Understanding of ocean, road, and air documentation processes.
