Senior Network Operations Engineer

Location: In office at the data center in Louisville, KY. Must be able to work either 6:00 AM–6:00 PM or 6:00 PM–6:00 AM on a 2-2-3 rotating schedule with 12-hour shifts.

Salary: $80,900–$110,300 per year, plus eligibility for a bonus incentive plan.

What you will do

• Maintain access control, data integrity, and file system security across data center and infrastructure environments.
• Monitor, track, and record system performance and utilization metrics.
• Support network operations and troubleshoot infrastructure-related issues.
• Communicate technical information to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Recommend hardware, software, and process improvements to increase infrastructure efficiency.
• Participate in infrastructure and IT projects, continuous improvement initiatives, and departmental strategy discussions.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of network operations experience.
• At least 2 years of corporate IT experience with Windows, Linux, and general networking skills.
• U.S. citizenship is required because the role supports a Department of Defense contract.
• Successful interim approval for government security clearance through NBIS is required after selection.
• Working knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications.
• Availability for either the day or night shift on a 2-2-3 rotating schedule with 12-hour shifts.

Nice to have

• Associate's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Network Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related technical field.
• Professional IT certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Security+, Linux+, Cisco CCNA, Microsoft certifications, or equivalent industry-recognized credentials.
• Experience supporting data center, network operations, or infrastructure environments.
