Senior Design Engineer - Electrical Penetration (Nuclear)

Location: Middleburg Heights, Ohio, United States; onsite

Salary: $120,000–$130,000 annually

What you will do

• Create, develop, and modify electrical penetration product designs to meet customer specifications and needs.
• Produce detailed SolidWorks drawings from sketches, layouts, and notes, and check drawings for correctness and compliance with standards.
• Analyze complex design challenges, troubleshoot issues, and revise designs based on testing results and customer feedback.
• Recommend design improvements supporting product quality and manufacturability.
• Collaborate with engineers on model accuracy, drafting standards, and ECN/ECR documentation.
• Prepare assembly, testing, and installation documentation; verify dimensions, materials, and quantities; and enter bills of materials into the ERP system.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• 6+ years of work experience in a similar role.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks or other modeling software.
• Knowledge of ASME Code, ISO, ASTM, ANSI, ASME Y14.1/Y14.5, and GD&T drawing standards.
• Ability to work onsite in Middleburg Heights, Ohio.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of product design and development, mechanical seals, welding, brazing, NDE, electrical power, nuclear power, or equipment programming.
