Supervisor, Manufacturing Operations (Manufacturing)

Location: San Luis Obispo, California, United States; onsite at the facility.

Salary: $90,000–$97,000 annually, with actual pay dependent on overall skills; annual bonus eligibility.

What you will do

• Supervise and coordinate manufacturing workers and machine-operating activities to meet safety, quality, cost, production, and on-time delivery objectives.
• Interview, onboard, coach, train, develop, and conduct performance reviews for employees.
• Communicate policies, procedures, and systems; lead daily pass-down meetings and support consistent shift transitions.
• Maintain accurate time, production, work-order, inventory, and electronic transaction records.
• Improve production methods, equipment performance, product quality, and manufacturing processes in collaboration with Production Team Leads, Production Managers, schedulers, and other manufacturing functions.
• Conduct audits, Gemba walks, and Kaizen activities; implement corrective actions using 8D problem-solving and root-cause evidence.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in a lead or supervisory role.
• Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Experience with control systems documentation.
• Excellent written and verbal skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule.
