TL;DR
Senior DevOps / Release Engineer (AI Security): Owning CI/CD, build, release, and infrastructure for an on-premises network security appliance and companion cloud microservices with an accent on GitHub Actions, release automation, build infrastructure, and AI-assisted operations. Focus on migrating legacy Jenkins workflows, protecting release branches with automated gates, modernizing physical and virtual labs, and extending secure infrastructure practices to AWS services.

Location: On-site / hybrid in Austin, Texas, United States. Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. without employment-based visa sponsorship.

Company

TrendAI™, hirify.global’s AI security business unit, develops AI visibility and consolidated security solutions for organizations.

What you will do

  • Own scheduled CI/CD pipelines for the on-premises network security appliance across regression, integration, UI/functional, nightly, and on-demand workflows.
  • Author and maintain GitHub Actions workflows, reusable actions, cross-repository orchestration, matrix builds, self-hosted runners, and secrets and permissions controls.
  • Migrate legacy Jenkins jobs, implement merge queues and automated flaky-test quarantine, and maintain GitHub repositories, branch protections, teams, access, branches, builds, and artifacts.
  • Modernize physical and virtual build and lab infrastructure through ephemeral runners, automated patching, and infrastructure as code.
  • Manage code signing, release packaging, version metadata, validation environments, release notes, changelogs, security scans, and remediation workflows.
  • Extend CI/CD and infrastructure support to Go and Node microservices deployed to AWS using Docker, Terraform/Terragrunt, and the Serverless Framework, while expanding AI-assisted operational automation with human review gates.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional experience in DevOps, release engineering, build engineering, or Linux systems administration supporting a production software product.
  • Strong Bash and Python scripting skills.
  • Hands-on experience with GitHub Actions, including workflow dispatch, cross-repository orchestration, self-hosted runners, matrix strategies, and secrets management.
  • Working knowledge of JVM or compiled-language build lifecycles such as Ant or Gradle, and experience troubleshooting or decommissioning legacy CI schedulers such as Jenkins.
  • Linux systems administration experience covering package and service management, capacity planning, scheduled jobs, credentials, and production build or lab host troubleshooting.
  • GitHub organization administration experience covering repositories, branch protections, teams, and access management.
  • Experience triaging CI/CD failures under time pressure and distinguishing product regressions from infrastructure or environmental flakiness.
  • Familiarity with automated release tooling, conventional commits, build signing, versioning, and release-candidate validation gates.
  • Demonstrated use of AI-assisted or agentic tooling in operational or automation work, with judgment regarding autonomous execution and human review.
  • Experience with SAST, SCA, or comparable security and quality scanning, including converting findings into actionable work; strong written communication; Docker and container packaging knowledge; and a BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Nice to have

  • Ownership of an appliance build farm or lab with physical and virtual device provisioning.
  • Network security appliance or embedded systems release experience.
  • Vulnerability and patch management, Coverity, Black Duck, or comparable platform administration.
  • End-to-end agentic or LLM-assisted operational workflows with guardrails for regulated or compliance-sensitive environments.
  • Merge-queue, speculative-merge, or automated flaky-test detection and quarantine experience.
  • AWS, Azure, or GCP infrastructure experience with Terraform, Terragrunt, CloudFormation, or comparable tools.
  • Kubernetes or comparable container orchestration experience.
  • Artifact or container registry ownership, Serverless Framework or AWS Lambda/API Gateway experience, and CI/CD platform migration leadership.

Culture & Benefits

  • Collaborative, innovative, respectful, and inclusive working environment.
  • Health benefits and paid time off.
  • Pre-partum, maternity, parental, medical leave, and adoption assistance.
  • Mental Health Wellness Program and annual wellness incentive.
  • 401(k) with company match and pet insurance.
  • Work focused on operational stability, security, release integrity, and reducing manual toil.
