TL;DR

Senior DevOps Engineer (AI): Building and operating AWS and Kubernetes infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, reliable databases, security operations, and an AI platform with an accent on scalability, observability, disaster recovery, and secure AI tooling. Focus on leading incident response, testing failover and restore procedures, managing least-privilege AI access, and delivering reliability, security, and cost-optimization projects.

Location: US, Remote. Full-time schedule during regular business hours, plus a shared weekly on-call rotation with scheduled after-hours coverage. Occasional early-morning or evening meetings support US and EU teammates.

What you will do

Design, build, secure, troubleshoot, and optimize AWS and EKS/Kubernetes infrastructure using Terraform and Helm.
Operate PostgreSQL databases, including upgrades, backups, restore testing, and performance tuning.
Build and improve CI/CD and release-engineering pipelines for production delivery.
Own Datadog observability, alerting, incident response, post-incident reviews, disaster recovery, and on-call operations.
Manage security operations, access controls, secrets, patching, Cloudflare networking, VPN, DNS, and email-domain security.
Deploy and secure MCP servers, LLM integrations, agent frameworks, AI workflow automations, prompt evaluations, and AI governance controls.

Requirements

US-based remote work and availability for scheduled after-hours on-call coverage.
5+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or infrastructure engineering.
Hands-on production experience with AWS, Linux, Kubernetes, preferably EKS, plus Terraform and Helm.
Experience with CI/CD, Ansible, Python and/or Bash scripting, Git workflows, monitoring, alerting, on-call, and incident response.
PostgreSQL administration experience covering upgrades, backups, restores, and performance tuning.
Practical security operations experience with IAM, secrets, patching, network configuration, and end-to-end project ownership.

Nice to have

Experience with AI tooling such as MCP servers, LLM APIs, agent frameworks, or prompt evaluation pipelines.
Experience with AI governance, Cloudflare Zero Trust/VPN, DNS, SPF, DKIM, DMARC, and MTA-STS.
SOC 2 or ISO 27001 audit support, disaster recovery testing, multi-region resilience, or Django experience.
Experience supporting distributed teams across US and EU time zones.
