Talent Director (AI/Deep Tech)

Location: On-site in London, UK.

Salary: Starting from $185,000; competitive salary is commensurate with experience, skills, and location.

hirify.global develops the DX-1 decode accelerator, a rack-scale system combining logic, data movement, packaging, optics, and interconnect for high-performance AI infrastructure.

What you will do

• Build and scale the talent function from approximately 200 to 1,000 employees through organization design, hiring priorities, and operating rhythms.
• Personally lead senior and executive searches, including searches for highly scarce technical talent.
• Attract, hire, and develop recruiters and sourcers while maintaining a high hiring bar.
• Define role-family hiring standards and ensure consistent interviewer application.
• Create a playbook for mapping scarce talent markets, developing early relationships, and closing passive candidates.
• Set the recruiting AI strategy, own hiring systems, data, and metrics, partner with executives on workforce planning, and build hirify.global's talent brand.

Requirements

• Experience building and leading a talent function through hyper-growth from several hundred employees toward 1,000 or more while maintaining hiring quality.
• Experience attracting and developing top recruiters, with the ability to identify people who could join the function.
• Experience in a top-1% talent-density environment such as a frontier AI lab, leading semiconductor or hardware company, or elite deep-tech scale-up.
• Personal experience leading senior and executive searches into niche, extremely limited talent pools.
• A clear, evidence-based point of view on AI in recruiting beyond efficiency, with practical experience putting it into use.
• Existing deep-tech expertise or the ability to quickly understand products and technology and engage credibly with engineers.
• Ability to influence through evidence and clear reasoning, disagree directly, and operate in a founder-led environment.

Nice to have

• Talent leadership experience at an AI lab, AI hardware company, or semiconductor business.
• Direct hiring experience in photonics, optoelectronics, advanced packaging, silicon, or AI software.
• Experience hiring across the UK and US and operating a multi-site function.
